"KaZamba Drum & Dance Group drew standing-room only crowds. Sandra Olansky, a 72-year-old from Boston who wore a purple sunhat and sat in the front row, danced along with the group.
Olansky, a retired teacher who now works as a volunteer teacher overseas, said she's seen African dancers in Africa, so when she saw the group on the schedule, she was excited. She said she was surprised to see the group of Hispanic women take the stage.
“To tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed,” she said. “But they did so well. Just awesome, fantastic. It shows that anyone, at any age and all shapes and sizes can dance. And they were so joyful and into it. That's the way it is in Africa — everybody dances.”
